Hi, I'm Chiara
I was born in Uruguay to an Italian father and a Brazilian mother and, after spending some time living in the United States, I eventually settled in Alicante, where I have happily called home for more than 25 years.
Looking back, perhaps it was inevitable that I would end up working with people from different cultures, backgrounds and languages.
What I didn't know was how long it would take me to find the work that truly felt like me.
For years, I searched for a profession that combined everything I loved: people, stories, emotions and meaningful connections. Then, 16 years ago, I discovered what I had been looking for all along.
I began officiating memorial ceremonies, helping families honour the lives of those they loved.
My role was never simply to speak, it was to listen, to understand who that person really was, to find the stories, memories and moments that captured a lifetime and transform them into a meaningful tribute.
What those years taught me is something I still carry into every ceremony I create today:
Every person has a story worth telling, and every story deserves to be told with heart.
A few years later, weddings entered my life and I discovered another side of that same passion.
Instead of celebrating a life that had been lived, I was now celebrating a love story that was still being written.
Today, after more than 14 years as a wedding celebrant, what I enjoy most is getting to know the people behind the wedding; hearing how they met, what makes them laugh, what they've overcome together and all those little moments that make their relationship uniquely theirs.
I'm naturally outgoing, adventurous, organised and perhaps just a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the details.
Most of all, I genuinely love people.
And I think that's why I love this job so much.
